This includes addressing any immediate needs, troubleshooting issues, and delegating tasks to volunteers or board members to ensure artists have the resources necessary to complete their murals within the week.
Technical Oversight: Possess a solid understanding of mural production or be willing to learn, particularly regarding the equipment required (ladders, scaffolding, lifts). Maintain a detailed, up-to-date inventory of walls, including measurements (height, width, total square footage), surface type, and any areas requiring repairs.
Building Owner Communications: Reach out to building owners who have signed up via our wall roster early in the year to confirm their participation and secure their commitment. Ensure that building owners understand any necessary wall repairs and set clear deadlines for completion. Effectively communicate the excitement and benefits of hosting a mural, while explaining how our program works to balance creative freedom with expert curation that aligns each mural with the unique character of the building for a mutually beneficial experience.
Wall Outreach: If additional walls are needed or if some signed-up building owners change their commitment, proactively seek out new locations. Identify buildings that could be a great fit for murals and approach building owners to explore the possibility of their involvement.
