Mural Painting Workshop with Artist, Marissa Napoletano.

In the spring of 2023, FCMP hosted our first mural painting workshop related to brush techniques.Ten artists quickly signed up to learn a variety of techniques to use in their mural careers. Marissa guided the group through shading, color palettes, materials, and professional tips and tricks, culminating in a collaboratively painted mural that lives on the patio of Wolverine Publik House in Fort Collins, CO. The mural process was designed and organized by the artist, Marissa.

A Denver based artist, although she has painted across the country creating everything from published books to large scale murals. Her work utilizes human and nature elements to explore the intersection between realism and fantasy. Combining a background in traditional Italian methods with contemporary style, she create pieces influenced by my experiences as a woman, a member of the LGBTQ community, and my struggles with health.
